D80 Amplifier

The d&b D80 amplifier is a 2RU, four-channel Class D amplifier engineered for high-power performance across touring and fixed installations. It supports all d&b loudspeaker configurations, including linear mode, making it versatile for a range of professional audio applications. Each channel offers up to 10 seconds of signal delay (equivalent to 3440 m/11286 ft) and two independent 16-band EQs with parametric, asymmetric, shelving, or notch filters for precise sound shaping.

Streamlined Power & Connectivity with D80 Touring Racks

The d&b D80 Touring racks are purpose-built, prewired system racks designed to simplify setup for touring and live sound environments. Each rack is fully equipped with mains power distribution, integrated connector interfaces, and complete internal cabling to support either three or six D80 amplifiers.

The 3 x D80 Touring rack variant is offered with a 32 A CEE mains connector and link or a 30 A NEMA mains socket. Its loudspeaker panel includes three NL8 (4-channel) and one LKA25 (12-channel) outputs, ensuring flexible signal routing. Additionally, interlocked auxiliary powerCON1 (16 A) outputs allow for safe power distribution to DS10 interfaces and low-consumption devices like laptops.

Expanded Power Distribution with 6 x D80 Touring Rack

The 6 x D80 Touring rack is designed for high-capacity applications, featuring a choice between a single 32 A CEE or dual 30 A NEMA mains power distribution panel. It includes interlocked powerCON1 (16 A) auxiliary outputs for safely powering DS10 interfaces and other low-power equipment like laptops.

A dedicated 2 RU loudspeaker connector panel provides six NL8 (4-channel) and two LKA25 (12-channel) outputs, supporting complex loudspeaker setups. Additionally, a built-in Power over Ethernet (PoE) port is included to connect and supply power to an inclinometer for precise system alignment.

DS10 Audio Network Bridge with Dante and Control Integration

The DS10 Audio Network Bridge provides 16 AES3 digital audio outputs for direct connection to D80 amplifiers using the Dante audio transport protocol over Ethernet. It also handles the distribution of control signals, supporting advanced system setups in touring and installation environments.

Equipped with an integrated 5-port switch, the DS10 supports both primary and redundant Dante networks. Features like Multicast Filtering and VLAN modes allow for flexible network configuration. The unit offers reliable connectivity for laptops controlling d&b amplifiers via R1 Remote software using the OCA (Open Control Architecture) protocol.

All signals audio and control can be managed through a single Ethernet cable, streamlining system deployment. The front panel layout matches the D80 Touring rack for a consistent interface.
