AL90 Loudspeaker

The AL90 augmented array loudspeaker is designed for medium-scale sound reinforcement applications, offering precise control and consistent coverage. When deployed with the AL Flyingframe, up to four AL90 modules can be suspended in a vertical array, delivering a 90-degree horizontal constant directivity dispersion. Alternatively, a horizontal array of up to four AL90 units can be configured using the AL Flying adapter. This passive two-way loudspeaker incorporates two 10-inch neodymium low-frequency drivers and a 1.4-inch exit high-frequency compression driver with a 3-inch diaphragm. These components are integrated with a wave shaping device and a passive crossover for coherent summation across modules. Splay angles between enclosures range from 20 to 40 degrees in 5-degree steps, supporting total array coverage from 50 to 150 degrees. The symmetrical driver layout ensures uniform dispersion, with horizontal directivity control maintained down to approximately 370 hertz. Constructed from marine-grade plywood, the AL90 features a robust polyurea coating and a metal grille with acoustically transparent backing.

Optimised Sound Reinforcement Solution for Medium-Scale Applications

The AL90 is an augmented array loudspeaker specifically engineered for medium-scale sound reinforcement tasks that require precise horizontal coverage and consistent audio performance. Developed as part of the A-Series by d&b audiotechnik, the AL90 combines advanced acoustic design with flexible deployment options, making it suitable for a variety of installation and mobile sound environments. The AL90 is particularly effective in venues such as theatres, concert halls, houses of worship, and multipurpose event spaces, where speech intelligibility and balanced music reproduction are critical. It can be configured in vertical arrays of up to four modules using the AL Flyingframe, or arranged horizontally using the AL Flying adapter, offering a range of coverage options tailored to the acoustic demands of the space. Designed as a passive two-way loudspeaker, the AL90 houses dual 10-inch neodymium low-frequency drivers and a 1.4-inch exit high-frequency compression driver with a 3-inch diaphragm. These components are integrated with a wave shaping device and a passive crossover to ensure coherent summation across cabinets. The symmetrical layout supports accurate and consistent dispersion, with horizontal directivity control extending to approximately 370 hertz. Built from marine-grade plywood and finished with a durable polyurea coating, the AL90 offers both acoustic performance and long-term resilience. It is a reliable, high-precision loudspeaker solution for professional applications requiring scalable, directional sound reinforcement.
