KSLi Subwoofer

The KSLi-SUB is a cardioid subwoofer engineered for fixed installation use within the KSLi system. Designed to complement KSLi8 and KSLi12 loudspeakers, the KSLi-SUB can be deployed in dedicated subwoofer arrays or combined configurations when used with the KSLi-SUB Mounting Frame and Mounting Adapter. This actively driven subwoofer features a dual-channel, two-way bass reflex architecture incorporating three high-performance 15-inch neodymium drivers. Two drivers project forward, while one radiates rearward, each housed in separate bass reflex chambers and powered independently to produce a controlled cardioid dispersion pattern. This design significantly reduces rearward sound radiation, enhancing low-frequency precision and minimising room excitation. The KSLi-SUB delivers a frequency response from 36 Hz to 105 Hz. Built from marine-grade plywood, the cabinet includes integrated rigging components at both front and rear. It is coated with a weather-resistant Polyurea Cabinet Protection finish and fitted with durable metal grills to safeguard internal components in demanding installation environments.

Optimised Low-Frequency Reinforcement for Permanent Installations

The KSLi-SUB is a high-performance cardioid subwoofer developed for integration within the d&b audiotechnik KSLi system. Purpose-built for permanent installation environments, the KSLi-SUB is engineered to deliver precise, controlled low-frequency reinforcement in applications where directivity and acoustic consistency are critical. Suitable for use in venues such as concert halls, theatres, houses of worship, and auditoriums, the KSLi-SUB is designed to supplement the full-range output of the KSLi8 and KSLi12 loudspeakers. It can be deployed in dedicated subwoofer columns or incorporated into mixed arrays when used with the appropriate mounting frame and adapter. The KSLi-SUB operates with an actively driven, two-channel bass-reflex architecture and houses three neodymium 15-inch drivers, arranged to support a cardioid dispersion pattern that significantly reduces unwanted rear energy. This enhances audience coverage while minimising reflections and structural resonance within the space. With a frequency response ranging from 36 Hz to 105 Hz, the KSLi-SUB delivers accurate low-frequency reproduction suitable for a range of demanding installation scenarios. Constructed from marine-grade plywood and finished with a weather- and impact-resistant coating, the cabinet is designed for long-term durability. Integrated rigging strands and protective metal grilles at both ends support secure installation and reliable performance over time. The KSLi-SUB stands as a critical component for audio professionals seeking high fidelity and directional control in installed sound systems.

Cardioid Dispersion Design
Front and rear-facing drivers operate in independent chambers to produce a cardioid pattern. This reduces rearward sound radiation and improves low-frequency clarity in reverberant spaces
Active Two-Channel Configuration
Each driver group is powered by separate amplifier channels. This enables precise control over dispersion and contributes to a more defined and consistent low-frequency response.
Flexible Installation Options
Compatible with both dedicated subwoofer arrays and mixed arrays using KSLi-TOP loudspeakers. Rigging components and mounting accessories support adaptable installation across a variety of venues.
Durable Construction for Permanent Use
Cabinet made from marine plywood and coated with Polyurea Cabinet Protection. Offers long-term resistance to environmental and mechanical wear in fixed installation settings.
